For Shell Lewis

You stood in radiance of sun Changed, like eve in soft pastels So special? The fluff of your hair so fine It caused me to reach for you Tender you. But then bold goose bumps appeared Pronouncing you cold in warmth You feared ghost? It wasn't like you to flinch To shudder as though being pinched Dreams deceive? *
