What's the Matter With My Mind

Catharsis has left US
The silence in our thoughts is betrayed
There is no mind-over-matter--
When mindlessness is all that matters

An absence of conscience blinds US
Our grief is unseen with fixated eyes
We put the 'social' in 'Social Hierarchy'--
Booking a subscription, to save Face

In an Instant, critical thinking weighs a Gram
Shrinking in comparison to the Ego
Selling our morals in a Snap--
We chat, minimally, with millions on the mind's surface

Swimming in indifference: we're dead inside
Forgetting why we are here
We are fastened, clinging to a Vine--
Staring at our reflective slave masters:

Scrolling...
Scrolling...
Scrolling...
