Whats Standing In Our Way Is Us

Could you lie next to me for a night
And fight off the feelings in your mind
Or would my touch be enough for you to go all in
And let me place my lips on your skin

Would you like candlelight and roses
Or is it enough just to prove what we know is
Right in front of us a lifetime full of trust
What’s standing in our way is us

What’s standing in our way is us
Worried if we’ll ever be enough
There’s already want
There’s already lust
And for me there’s already love

Each passing day is a burden that we carry
I once feared the loss and that’s what scared me
Now the biggest fear I have is never knowing us
And living when the curse of life is love

What’s standing in our way is us
Worried if we can ever be enough
There’s already want
There’s already lust
And for me there’s already love

Every road that we’ve gone down is a pathway
A pathway leading right back to us
It’s like a hand from above keeps guiding us
To the place that we both dream of

What’s standing in our way is us
Worried if we’ll ever be enough
There’s already want
There’s already lust
And for me there’s already love

I can wait to show you... how much
