What's Said

Everyone knows best
Said and spoken from heart
What's best felt is what's best kept
Under wraps and sure not to leave mark
Penciled in and stenciled
This trace left evident
Charcoaled in and chiseled
This pain hard to forget
We know it and thus we remember
Hold onto that which crumbles once held through fingers
Try, give, love, forgive-
But it only serves to shame us in the end
Goes unrequited, goes unwelcomed
Goes forgotten, goes uncherished
As they say and so as it's been said
Everyone knows best in the end.

Though I don't agree with this as a collective whole. I see the inner parts within the verse and with some I concer. The wise man listens and turns the though inward to see if it is best in the end for them...to me ... Thought provoking poem.
