What's her name

That girl with the swirl in her hair
rocks my world
My shadow of shame makes me lame
to even ask her name
The features of her face reveal
A hidden grace
The material of dreams
That seem to gleam
Desires extreme that
Scream with deeds
A distance too far to even reach
No skill, no amount of living
Could even teach
A pause before beginning
A desperate speech
The ideal of certainty out of reach
At the Ball she could not
Be asked to dance
Her lance would destroy any advance
While alone her movement a subtle prance
Quietly denying the opportunity
Of any chance
To reach would be to reach
For the sky
To try would be to learn how to fly
To lie would be the ability to buy
Not yet have I the ability to cry
I only have these few things
A rhyme for the attention of the mind
The time never lost easy to find
The mime that promises every last dime
The crime that gives while being disguised
The claim of attention
Would be in vain
A name and invention
Only for the insane
The hopes of intentions only bring shame
Is it really too much
just to ask for her name

The angst and pull of attraction. What makes one truly beautiful? A little mystery, not easily obtained, virtuous, hopeful to find the right match. Enjoyed this very much!

It’s not too much to ask her name, how else could someone light the flame. Who knows, it might lead to a bended knee, asking ‘Will you marry me.’ - Beryl
