What's Going On?
Oh My GOD!
Hear my cry,
I’m calling out,
Why oh why!?!?
What is the problem?
What is the issue?
So much killing,
And it continues.
School after school,
Shootings on the street,
Our children are being wiped out,
Week after week.
What’s wrong with people?
What’s on their minds?
To think it’s okay,
To kill time after time!
People off their meds,
Other people just get mad,
Picking up guns,
Now people are dead, oh how sad.
Parents are burying their children,
More and more each day,
Father GOD,
I know this isn’t your way.
People are snapping off,
So quick to pick up a gun,
Having the audacity,
To kill our daughters and sons!
My heart is heavy,
With so much hurt and pain,
Because day after day,
Someone is being killed yet again.
My eyes full of tears,
Falling down my face,
Trying to understand,
What in the world is taking place?
Loved ones are gone,
Hearts are torn,
Lord, help me understand,
What’s Going On?????
