Whatever the Weather Be
Listen to poem:
Will it rain today, or will sun break through?
Will it snow, or be stifling hot instead?
The willy weather drives our plans askew,
But why are we so ruled by fear and dread?
We have umbrellas, coats to beat the rain,
Jumpers and layers to keep out the chill.
Hats for shade from the blast of hot sun pain
Shelter within to shield from the wind's din.
But oft we forgo our fun, made forlorn
By forecasts renowned as fickle and flawed
Make excuses, stay in doors, day unborn
When donning clothes could beat off the threat fraud.
You look so stylish dressed for bad weather
In you hat, feather, scarf, coat and leather.
