Whatever happened to the true art of practicing forgiveness? There seems to be a zero tolerance towards making human mistakes even after the guilty party says they are sorry. They lose their Hallmark television series, "Garage Door Mystery's. "And they lose twenty of their Cross Cut Gyms. In the first instance Laurie Laughlin only did what the rich and powerful people have been doing for years. Pay to have her daughter enroll in college. Was she wrong? Of course! Did she get away with it? Under today's standards of equal justice, she did not. She lost a popular television series. Will she and her daughter be given the second chances of Martha Stewart? She along with her stock broker were guilty of insider trading on the stock market. She served time in a minimum security prison. While she was there she helped out her female inmates. She was allowed a second chance. Her stock broker lost his license and was not forgiven The Cross Cut Gym owner made an inappropriate remark concerning George Floyd. "George Floyd COVD-19."He paid plenty. He immediately lost twenty gyms. As an after thought he said, "he was sorry." And is he sorry? Of course he is he lost his gyms. The social media watchdogs are alive and policing the internet. He should have never made such an insensitive and inappropriate remark. We sincerely hope he has learned his lessons. After reaping the bitter harvest. Rosanne Barr had her own television show. She made an inappropriate remark and lost it completely; it's off the air and syndication. She was a woman famous for telling it like it is and speaking her mind. She made the mistake of speaking her mind. There was a zero tolerance of forgiveness given her. "President Ronald Regan should be taken out and shot!" Was a popular saying during his administration. One man went into a bar and made this bold statement. He was promptly arrested and accused of threatening the president. There was at least one assignation plot geared towards him. He actually was shot. He recovered from his gunshot wounds; President John F Kennedy, Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King did not! With freedom of speech comes freedom of responsibility.
