Whatever Be
if you come back to me
i don't know what you'll see
a different man
or a vague memory
of something i was
of something gone before
i was just a shadow on a wall
and a voice to some thoughtless soul
i loved you once and forever more
if you came back to me
i could not tell you what you'll see
i'll just be here
whatever will be will be
