What Would You Give For a Friend

The question today that’s asked of us
Is, what would you give for a friend.
I’ll tell you this, right now, without thought
Is that I would be there to the end.
I’d stand beside, support and help
In any way, shape or form
I would give to them all they want
Or need to ride out any storm.
If times are good and they just want love
Then love is what they would get.
For, I’ve never had any complaints before
And I never will, I’d bet!
My friends are just that, friends of mine,
And that they could take that to the bank.
If they were to need almost anything
It would be me that they would thank.
To sum it all up, I’d have to say
My friends would get all they need
My life, I’d give for all of my friends
As I know they would give that for me

A wonderful poem that says so much truth! We underestimate the value of friendship too often. It is such a gift we should never take for granted. Nicely said! ~ Carrie

A beautiful tribute to friendship and there is no doubt you are probably as true a friend as can be. I have only 4 true friends, who I know I could count on for anything, and to me, that is huge, way more than enough. Just want to wish you a beautiful Thanksgiving Michael and say I am sorry I do not comment enough on your wonderful poetry. Please forgive me. Love, Shar

Imagine what they would do to you If they did it to the most loving person(Jesus) that walked the earth. God bless you Michael as for me I pray for my enemies they in their hearts know who they are.

Jesus was the greatest friend you could have he loved more then anyone and the mob and their followers crucified him. Jesus is my greatest friend those that throw stones are unhappy within themselves they like to stir things up to turn people against others the sad thing is those people enable those that cast stones. Believe me I know who my friends are. Look at the people that commented on my poems before and the ones that dont now. It is sad I will pray for those that transgress against me..

Michael this is beautiful. I notice how things work around here. How people can turn on a dime and the favoritism. Adolph Hitler had many friend and followers who were intimidated by him. As for me I have a few true friends the ones that change their trueness are the ones Id rather not have they follow a crowd. Not me If I have to stand alone for what I believe I will. The friends I have though Michael I would die for and they would for me through the Good times and the bad. Jesus loved everyon
