What Women Want In A Man

They ask as if it were a riddle,
A secret pressed between two hearts,
But love is as clear as the rivers are deep,
That find their way to the sea.

A man unafraid of the binding vow,
Not trembling at tomorrow’s weight,
But steadfast as an oak in storm,
And gentle as the dawn in spring.

We want the loyalty that lingers
Through summers bright and winters cold,
The hand that does not falter
When all the world grows dim.

We want the nectar from the well,
Sweet water drawn with patient care,
A cup that overflows with trust,
A kiss that keeps a promise must.

We want the rivers of his soul
To wander, yet return again,
Always flowing homeward bound
To the sea that we both share.

We want the love that does not fade
When the body bends with years and weight,
The love that met us shining,
And stays forever new.

What do women want in a man?
Only what the heart has always known:
A haven for our heavy dreams,
A flame that lasts and will not die.

We want a heart that does not falter,
A vow that shines like morning stars,
A steadfast flame that warms the night,
And steadies us when shadows fall.

We want a man unafraid of binding,
Whose promise glimmers like the sea,
A shore where we may rest our souls,
And never fear the tide’s retreat.

We want the nectar of devotion,
Drawn from wells that never dry,
Sweetness offered without measure,
Like roses opening in the light of dawn.

We want the rivers of his spirit
To flow toward us endlessly,
Carrying the silver of moonlight,
And the song of hidden springs.

We want the love that met us shining
To linger through the withered years,
As blossoms cling though autumn calls,
As swallows circle back to home.

What do women want in a man?
Only this: the eternal garden,
Where loyalty, truth, and tenderness bloom,
And the first kiss lasts forever.
