What Will You Allow

WHAT WILL YOU ALLOW Will you allow me to wipe the tears from your face, and help put your sorrows in their place? Can I hold and comfort you through the nights, and on hard days tell you it will be alright? May I be the one who holds your hand, and says, babe, it is okay, I understand. Will you allow me to see the happiness inside, and feel the emotions you try to hide? Can we meld the passions we have in our hearts, and think of them even when we are apart? Would you welcome my total faith in you, and allow me to build my trust there, too? Would you take this heart I have to give, give it freedom, and allow it to live?

Beautifully stated questions we all want answers to. Reaching out to other people and trusting in them is so difficult and exposes us to all sorts of heartbreak.
