What Will We Do

What will we do, when we run out of time Knock of death on our door, the final chime Which emotion flows through dying sinews Knowing that the next breath may not renew Regret or remorse or bliss throb sublime Misalignment with love, our only crime Devoid of love, we wallow in the grime Dying now and yet mired in ego glue What will we do? Pretended emotions, which we did mime All futile now, not even worth a dime How we wish, we could begin life anew Too late to undo, the poison we spewed When through Gods eyes we review, our lifetime What will we do? 09-February-2021

I get this one seeker, maybe it’s more about what we don’t do, than what we will do, because if your right there will be nothing we can do, thought provoking as ever, cheers David
