What Went Wrong

We've been together so long What went wrong You've changed Maybe because of me I can't see What use to feel natural Now does not fit I've changed You want to leave I want to quit How can we start over This late in life Our marriage has changed No longer your husband No longer my wife And what about the children What will they say Our lives have changed Will they forgive us Or just walk away We've been together so long What went wrong

How very many times is this question asked ? A frequent conundrum , often with no solution, other than compromise, on which so many relationships are based. Nicely written.

Thank you Miss Line. I don't which is worse, a marriage ending after so many years or people staying together unhappy because they been together for so many years.
