What we See
I see him as seventeen
With lots of dark black hair
Intensely fervent about life
An expert in many things
His car is a 1959 pink Cadillac with tail fins
Yes, that car!
He bought it for five hundred dollars
From a rich doctor, who wanted something new
He sees me as sixteen
He knows he wants something
But he is too innocent to know what
He gives me that smile, and I laugh
