What We Learn Early In Life
There's so much a young one learns, hears, and sees
besides ABC's and 123's
beyond saying "Thank you" and Please."
Some kids learn early in life
words can cut like a knife.
Some learn about strife
when loved ones break
their hearts, make
them sad
and
seem
not to
realize
or hear their sighs
They'll be grown some day.
Will they be the same way--
cold, distant, failing to say
"I'm proud of you. I love you so"
to loved ones, who matter most? They know
from experience that love needs to SHOW.
