What Was Said

they said you didn't love me
they said I made you cry
they said to set my heart free
they said to let it fly

you said you would forgive me
you said I should come back
you said that love was silly
you said we're more than that

I said you didn't matter
I said our love's roulette
I said that you would shatter
I said I don't regret

I love this, the emotions you’ve delivered here in such captivating and touching cadence. I especially love the opening lines and how you’ve written “ you said you would forgive me” “ you said we’re more than that” soul hitting. Felt this poem!
