What Was and Used To Be

What Counts;
the air in my lungs
the blood in my veins
the love in my heart
the thoughts in my head

What mattered;
it used to be only you
the way we felt
the times we had
together we were-now used to be

What Is;
a cold silence interrupted by none
hated memories fresh within us
brings up the past more than the future
anxiety turning our heads back
quickens our pace to get away
startling our hearts
wasting precious energy

What Used To Be;
together
eachother's
happy
warm

What I Am;
doubtful
stress-free
untrusting
tired

tired of you.
