What Turns Me On
What turns me on
I get up in the morning just to watch the sunrise.
I look at all the beauty, but I cannot surmise.
The colours spreading round the sky,
the light begins to grow,
From the great orange, pink ball,
from which all life does flow.
The birds they start to make a noise the Robin is the first
It’s the blackbird noise that make us cringe, it is by far the worse.
The fresh clean air of a morning so bright
Can do nothing but make my heart feel light
Another night has come to an end
Another day to make a stranger a friend.
These things make my juices flow, the spender of it all
The wide variety of everything, including that big ball.
It rises quicker now, and the light is getting bright,
We hope and pray it will shine all day
And get us through un-til to night.
The warmth we feel kissing our skin, the flowers open to embrace it,
The spiders start to spin their webs, all fancy, full and lacy.
The insects start to buzz and set off on the breeze
Their job is set for the day= to pollinate the flowers and trees.
What more could we ask, to set our day off right,
we have woken up again after another long, long night.
There are many that did not wake this day,
Be glad you are not one of them
So give a thought, to your God and thank him now
Amen.
