What Truth Abides

For there abides a grain of truth in lies a whimper at the core of shouted hate a distant light that masquerades as hope a rusted key removed from long locked gate hushed whisper of a time before the fall when wisdom would succumb to fevered greed lies become the currency of power and truth a stricken soldier left to bleed Thus fear becomes the tyrant's singing blade echoing across a shivering land demanding that its subjects all must kneel erase the grain of truth of those who stand If honor be the grain of truth in lies when will we come to know what truth abides John G.
