What true friends do
Life can be so hard-
sometimes this world-can be too much
You really need a friend-
Someone who cares with a human touch
A friend is what you need-
someone who cares with a guiding hand
He's not there to judge when you're feeling down
He's one who truly understands-you

I'll be your friend-
I'll be the one you need-
in your time of need
I'll be there-
to shed a tear for you-
and help you get through...
that's what friendship is...
that's, what true friends do!
Sometimes, words just don't come-
it's hard to understand what you're feeling
but, I'll be the one who listens to you
and, help you back on the road to healing
Sometimes, you feel betrayed-
you struggle with your confidence,
I'll help you with a kind word or deed
or, just suffer with you in silence
