What To Believe

On the day you were born
Immediately you were told
This is what to believe in
To think would be bold
And could be a sin

You can have any faith
Believe as you wish
Or choose not to believe
But many will try to deceive
Telling you how to feel

Everyone will yell
Believe in this
Believe in that
Believe in what I say
You have to live my way

Going forward remember
You have your own mind
No need to surrender
To another's thoughts
Your own path you will find

Oh so true...I have chosen to follow my heart...God speaks to my soul. My parents when I was growing up, I would say were agnostic. My faith came from a divine place. I respect all beliefs, but I think everyone should follow God's path not man's...hugs, Rhonda

That's the thing about faith, whether you choose to believe or not to believe and what you choose to believe is your own choice. As a child you can be shown a choice but as you mature that choice is your own.
