What the situation in Gaza has confirmed for me

Faults on both sides, That outsiders have widened, With money for tunnels provided, No due diligence accounted for, Rocked me to the core, With no one held to account, For any of that amount. Too many pawns on the chessboard, And no white nights, No compassion looked for, Same old solution put forward, Let's divide the land in half, And shift people living in the wrong half. Only hope that one day, If we all pray, Common ground will be found, Above ground, With outside money spread around, On projects that have a gentle sound, With due diligence now found, And no drums heard calling for war, As locals set up their own Chessboard, And the outsiders get bored, Removing themselves off the board.

I enjoyed your well rhymed poem about the nasty problems of current events. I wonder how much having mortal or newly created enemies duke things out once in a while, help increase central bankers' currencies and profit defense contractor's, etc.?

Thank you David for taking time to read and reply. Giving money with no accounting for how used is nearly always foolish and a missed opportunity to make a real difference in other people's lives. A hard message to sell unfortunately. Feel free to pass this poem about as long as my name is on it. very best regards David in NZ
