What the Hell Just Happened

Live every day to the fullest Each one is a treasure that cannot be recaptured Life has a beginning, a middle, and an end No second chance to experience things for the very first time Make the most of every day Breathe in deeply the breath of life Remember the joys of discovering new things as a child Your heart throbbing first romance as a teen The night you announce you're going steady The union of two souls as you marry That scary time when your first child is born Suddenly you realize you are not young anymore Don't let life and love pass you by It is meant to be lived to the fullest Before you can turn around You're sitting in a comfortable old easy chair Wondering... “What the hell just happened!” Life just happened! © Jack Ellison 2014

I enjoyed reading your clever narration here my friend! And I also enjoyed Demetrios' response, as I've been lucky to have life pass by so quickly, meaning that it all has been so wonderful and a blessing! That means I have to make sure to look at it from the outside and see exactly what it is that I have...so it doesn't pass by so fast and be unappreciated! What a tremendous poem you have written here Jack, my friend, Great Work!!

Excellent writing! Short expressions coming out of long experience! Each day may be an instance or an eternity as well. Imagine being with someone you love, the day just a blink of the eye. Imagine witnessing the same person suffering and the day becomes an eternity! Yes, my dear friend Jack, life is short to make us happy but it is very long to make us unhappy! I agree life is an adventure and we should be willing to take risks, however, you would agree, life shouldn't be lived unexamined!

Yep! We say that every day with Dragon around! What the **** just happened! Life is fleeting and fast paced here. And it's constantly running before our eyes. Well that's life with Dragon! And we constantly live life to it's fullest! My computer is still down... But Hubby helped me get a new poem up. Thank Goodness! Dragon really shouldn't of sat on my old one! Honestly! Dumb Dragon! He said it was an accident! I think it was because Hubby's poem WITHOUT Dragon... has gotten more reads...
