What She Was Like

She was like a shadow
That passes over a field of flowers
And just for that moment
Gives them reprieve from the sun

Or like a dream
That is so beautiful
That you want it to come
Again and again
And though it never returns
It will be a dream
That you will never forget

A dream
That you tell others about
Not that you want to share it
But in the telling
It helps you remember it

Forever
