What Poetry Is
All writing is art, but poetry is the highest form. In prose, words are wielded to serve a purpose. But in poetry, words are the purpose. Michelangelo believed sculpture was the highest art form, and saw himself as a sculptor (not a painter).
Poetry is the sculpture of writing.
