What Now Is

she plays guitar on the earth's surface
ripped faded jeans and a loose t-shirt
smiling at the space she is currently in
calm as she moves right on
the cut from the blade her ex left as a goodbye gift
burn marks in certain places left as reminders
she sings her lyrics in a laid back type of rhythm
worried she is no more
as she finishes the song she gets up to kiss me
a tear being stubborn and she walks on by
she looks back briefly and enters the cozy home
i smile at Handyman that made this work
