What More Do You Expect

He forgave the unforgivable,
Loved the unlovable,
Helped the ungrateful,
Taught the unteachable, 
And reached the unreachable.

He befriended the friendless,
Gave hope to the hopeless,
Worked with the clueless,
Guided the sightless
And defended the defenceless.

Yet you let him sleep on a rug
And never give him a hug.
You even teach him to beg.

You must be some sort of mug
To expect any more from your dog.

David Smith March 11, 2017 at 6:53 PM I like to keep people interested and read poem to end. Glad to hear you look after your dog. Used to have hunting dogs when young. Just cats when Married and had children. Like them to catch occasional mouse or rat otherwise we will end up over run and no longer plague free. Regards David in NZ
