What Might They Find There

Deep within the private recesses of my soul,
The heart emotions cry out,
Sometimes in distress,
Sometimes longing for change,
Sometimes yearnings for more
Sometimes regrets,
Sometimes with great joy,
Sometimes with overwhelming love,
Love that helps to overcome the negatives,
Giving strength needed in time,
When life throws it’s best,
Love leads everything into perspective,
Bringing peace to the soul,
Showing a better way of looking at life,
So when you look into my soul,
You might see battle scars,
You might see pain,
You might see my past,
Sometimes I hope you see,
A beautiful glimpse of my love.

The essence is in the last line ... And that is the pole star ... An asset find indeed in a poem ...
