What Love Is

The human soul was thus designed
To care for one’s own brood
And thus fulfill
A higher will
To prove an attitude

They say we love the ones we serve
For love, is what we do
And therefore so
The chance to grow
And thus, our substance too

Indeed, the purpose of a life
The reason we exist
Is this, to share
The love we bear
To help the world subsist

And when the human heart is full
Because we gave our all
Our love will then
Return again
To answer heaven’s call.

Love your approach with this theme. They say it's much more Christlike to show love to strangers than to family since family we love almost regardless of how they are (well, there are exceptions) Anyway, I think you did such a great job with this one.
