What Love Doesn'T Know

Love doesn’t know limits Love doesn’t understand history Nor cares. Love doesn’t understand structure Or patterns. Love doesn’t comprehend fire Or how the brighter it burns The faster it fades. Love doesn’t know How much it’s absence hurts Once you’ve tasted it You’re gone. And love doesn’t know How inconvenient it is That you are beside me Hardly noticing my craving for you Hardly seeing my fingers twitching Yearning to entrap themselves in your hair Hardly hearing my deep breathing Trying to get myself under my own control. No, love doesn’t know how annoying it can be. But you’re right here beside me And the light is hitting me just right And your eyes are shifting towards my lips So why not? God, this is gonna hurt.
