Note - Ok my dear friend, this has been presented as you requested, forgive
my lapse in memory. I had forgotten and have now moved it to be posted here
ahead of another poem but I always keep my word- especially when reminded
if I forget! Thank you for the email this morn, I am lucky I actually checked my email.
To my other dear friend, I shall post the poem you've gave great and precious advice on and have edited for me, as soon as possible(this coming week). I must apologize to you as this one was a few weeks overdue and I had to rectify my mistake. God bless, you both, I am blessed to have such wonderful and sincere friends!
What Life's Treasures And Sweet Gems Should Be Life's gems should be, more than anxiety, sad sorrows, cryptic words Man existing should be, more than blind, slavish-chained beasts in huge city herds. Living life true and well should be, more than polluted waters and stale daily bread Resplendent joyous Life and Love should be, family happiness greater than life's great dread. True Peace, Tranquility and Hope should be, home and hearth, warm winter fires, children playing Growing old, having treasured memories should be, time on earth well spent, no prayers for overstaying. We all strive to have a good life but sometimes we encounter storms and only family and good friends steer us to calmer waters. Well written Robert. Tom.

So true, Robert. This is how life "should" be...but often isn't for those who suffer starvation and/or homelessness and/or loneliness and/or working too hard. We must take time for our loved ones and others in need often in order to build those precious memories we will cherish in old age if we are lucky enough to live that long. Love you, Carole

Robert, you've no need to apologize for posting this one first. I totally understand that keeping your word is the right thing to do and being the kind-hearted gentleman that you are, I'd have expected nothing less from you. This truly is a gem, and a testament that only by living a life of truth can we find peace and tranquility. There's hope for all, and I'm sure your friend enjoys seeing it in print. I'm patient ;-)

Hello Dear Friend Robert!! This wondrous rhyme you've just posted, speaks so eloquently to those things, events, and memories that are very important to oneself and to family and friends, which should always be treasured and held close to the heart as we all live this "earthly life" until its end, and I believe for each of us, in the end, as we prepare ourselves and our souls for that walk one day into eternity. (This is a subtle interpretation I have from my read!) Outstanding As Always! A FAVE! Best Wishes, Gary
