What Killed the Apple

WHAT KILLED THE APPLE
by
JOHN M. ARRIBAS

What Caused the Apple to Decay and Die
Was it the Same Factors for You and I
Was it Exposed To Much Drought or Rain
Was it Subject To Highs of Joy and Pain

Was it a Birds Peck, That Let the Worms in
Was it Jealousy N Envy Let Erosion Begin
Was it an Early Winter a Sudden Freeze
Was it Impossible for Loved Ones to Please
Was it High Winds That Loosened its Hold
Was it Loses That Caused Desires to Fold

Was it Aphids, Mold or an Other Disease
Was it Unending Needs to Always Appease
Was Pesticides in the Sap That Made it Shrink
Was it Constant Pressure, Driven to the Brink
Was it Not Picked to Be Among The Best
Was it Physical N Mental Issues Causing Unrest

For the Apple and Me There Is One Cause
We All Start out or Develop Built in Flaws
