What it was

It was with his Adonis pressssssed
firm against her smoking hot Venus mound
that, thus unleashed, the cry of her hope, SHE,
that had hopped from one hearth to another…
thought that she, at last, had a heart claimed.
When he, at last acclaimed
to the abandon of her throne, with caution afar,
relented to the heady fumes of both their supposed flair. That was what it was.
At least until, he, true to form, bent his knee to the inane call of the Lord of the flies.
