What It Should Be To Be Humankind

Some people make me smile

Some people have a heart of gold

You can always tell who they are

It doesn't matter how poor, how pretty or how old

Without these people the world would be a worthless place

You know such people, you know their face

We all try to be or act like them

Some of us succeed, some pretend!

I try to rationalise what's lacking in my mind

I try to see somethings that I just can't find!

But when I see someone so good, so honest, so kind

It makes me appreciate what it is I see, the best of humanity.

What it should be to be humankind.
