What Is True Freedom

What is true freedom?
We all perceive differently,
It is but fleeting,
Leaving no trace, for sympathy or empathy,
What is true freedom?
When your mind is caught up in self doubt,
When worries ceaseless, continue
When everything in its place seems wrong,
What is true freedom?
When your retreating from the noise,
The world around seems like a giant mess,
And you are drowning in it,
What is true freedom?
Tirelessly chasing it,
Never letting bygones be bygones,
Hoping one day I could see the end,
When in plight your mind escapes,
Shamelessly your left, alone, naked and bare
Your flaws and faults to be,
Are counted upon and becomes your shame,
What is true freedom?
When all our eyes are battened down,
Blind with the evening dusk,
If only I knew,
What true freedom means,
I'd be better off and free,
Where I wouldn't have a need to flee...
