what is proper etiquette

what happens when my dog brings home an arm or a leg? What is the proper etiquette? What is the protocol? Do I call the non-emergency police number? Or a neighbor? What if he brings home a skeleton? Or just a skull? Are the rules the same with flesh and without flesh? I live on a desolate country road. I have a puppy that is avidly digging things out of the ditch. Not daily, but often enough that I am a bit worried.
