What Is Love That Forgets

What is love that neglects to share one final glance when parting or a peck upon a furrowed worried brow or simply a hint of a goodbye tear so dearly needed. What is love that even at its least, has no gentle caress to say hello or even a squeeze of hand or perhaps a smile. What is emotion that never stops to ask why sadness leeks through every hello and screams from silences too often, no, always ignored. What is love that forgets all these things?

It seems I've come here to thank you for my high placement in your contest, to realize how neglectful I've been in reading your poems. My comments, might seem self-serving, but want you to know how I'm taken by your poems, so amazing! As you know, your contests have always been my favorites to enter. We do love the same music. But your poetry is the kind that touches the heart. Please let me apologize for not stopping by more often, as well as thanking you very much for this high honor :)

You often seem to read my heart, and then put those thoughts to words. So many of your poems reveal the beauty of the soul, when one is willing to step forward and love another above one's self. The themes you are writing of lately, reveal a lot about who you are. A good and kind heart :)

This is a great poem Craig. I am sure many can relate to these questions. I agree with Daniel about 'faded'. Very well written. :)

Faded! Very eloquently put, Craig. I think love is the most overused word in the English language. next in line is I'm sorry. Brilliant write!
