What is love?

Someone asked me how to describe love
At first I thought there wasn’t a description
Then I thought of a man who lost his wife after 50 years
No one can feel that emotion beside him
We may feel for him
But that loss is endless
The love, the memories
The good and the bad
The days in and out
We don’t think will end
We take for granted
Not knowing how we got this far
Love is endless
It stays
In the photos
In the stories
In emanates from memories
It’s lasting
And encompassing
It’s tears
It’s comfort
Hugs
Seeing that one after so long
Just sitting
Quietly
Tea and coffee without a word
Peace
I am one of the lucky ones
To know love
