What Is Love

Mum, what is love?
It is not something I can explain, my love
Then who can?
Only you
Because what love is to me
It is not to you

For he whose heart is broke
Love is a tragic lie
It's an illusion
That fades as we die

For she who reads to her grandchild
Love is satisfaction
It is happiness
In the next generations

For they who take shelter under the bridge
Love is small
It is cherished
In every form

But for all
Love is a mystery
It is a desire
A want
A need
