What Is Love

Love is a genius who's mentally ill
A satisfied man who can't get his fill
It's a mountain peak set in a valley
An iceberg stuck on the isle of Bali

It's a rainbow with a border of black
A sailboat on reach with no way to tack
Love's always planned but always a surprise
They say that it's blind meant for sighted eyes

Love is known as laughter salted with tears
An anchor in storm with a chain of fears
Love is forever or perhaps a day
One can feel at home or be on the way

Love becomes our fortress but without locks
Oh, my friend, love's the greatest paradox

What a wonderful "paradoxical" poem...and so true. Very unique. Congrats on your 1st place win in the contest.
