What Is It Like
What is it like to have a real mum?
What is it like to be loved and protected,
What is a mother’s love?
Is it kind and gentle,
Is it rough and painful,
Or are you protected and kept safe.
I don’t think I will ever know how it feels,
To be safe and feel loved and kept safe,
To know what it means to be wanted,
By your mother who loves you and wants you.
