What Is God Really Like

Who can truly answer this question?
God is eternal and always has been
He is a spirit without body or form
no person can say God they have seen

Jesus is God. He said so in His word
also, saying seeing me, you see the father
for in the trinity, one God in three persons
paints His picture of all He will gather

In our modern hi-tech PC world
we can't picture God nor even guess
even kids' bible picture books
show only human ideas of God's likeness

So there is no way we can know
with absolute certainty of God the Lord
we must trust in His authoritative word
which speaks of God's sharp-edged sword

God is our great founder and creator
this world didn't just come out of nothing
for God is full of love, care and mercy
He is one, maker of all which He brings

This world with everything here is the handiwork of God. God is a felt presence for me and many like us and we believe in his redeeming love. As always, you enjoy singing praise of the Lord.
