What Is Beauty?

Beauty is an ever changing idea.
It varies with society, cultures, and time.
It can be a young statuesque woman
with long shapely legs and full thick hair.
It can be a man with a strong square jaw
and a broad muscular chest.
An elderly couple walking hand in hand
down the street.
The first time a mother holds her baby.
The first spoken words of Dada.
The pink sun rising on the eastern horizon,
or the full luminous harvest moon,
the white icicles hanging from the branches
of a sturdy oak or a large red rose
in full bloom.
The idea of beauty is as old as time
and as different as those who define it.
It does exist in all aspects of live.
