What Is a Father

What is a father, you ask?
A father is a man, who is strong
Strong for the people he loves;
And a person in your eyes, who never does wrong.

He plays ball with the sons he may bare
Or, he may tell his daughters who to watch out for
He lets his children know he does care,
And when they’re small he takes them, for a drive.

A father will go out, with a son to a bar
He’ll walk a daughter down the isle
And when we are gone and not so far,
He’ll let us know, we can always come home.

A father can become a grandfather
To have grandchildren to call his own
He doesn’t mind when they start to bother;
As he knows, the parents are very near.

So as I write this
You shall always remember
What, a father is.
