What If This Were You

What if….you had a stroke?

And could.not move or tell a joke!

What if you found, you could not pen.

Nor walk to see the moon around the bend?

What if speaking were impossible?

How would you make happiness possible?

Imagine the walls staring down at you.

If only..if only…you could say a word or two!

Mom, sure had soul! I know I found inner strength caring for her. It all seemed impossible.taking her to adult day care. Liffting her out of the wheelchair I am petite. So, ouch!Twice a day. Maria gave up a year of college. I know I did well for her. After she passed, I would lie on her her bed and weep. She really loved people, children, jokes and music. She looked so beautiful after she died. I have seen many corpses in my work…never such a transformation like hers.she was stunningly beautiful.Pangie xo

Rabbi Ahron Soloveichik described his first (of five) strokes as like experiencing the world from the bottom of a dungeon. Very surreal. Strokes are no joke!

Roger suffered greatly from esophageal cancer. He could not be on TV, nor travel and speak at film festivals. My point was, Darlene, he wrote till the day he died. He has a STAR in his name on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Roger was a kind. popular man known internationally. I hope none of us lose our ability to grow in poetry and to speak. Love, Pangie xoxo

Hello Darlen. Thank you for sharing this about your Mother! I did not know, to see this, must be so hard, I only saw my friends picture. We should ealize this can happen to us, it would be like having ones’s soul jailed. My friend,, movie critic, Roger Ebert lost his ability to speak but not from a stroke, he still was able to move, Write movie reviews but he could not eat or swallow, Through all that, he still loved to cook for his family. Anyway, let us pray for all here, that this never happens to them,God keep us in your care. Love, Pangie xo

Oh my gosh such sadness. Your delicate writing strikes my heart. I've known several dear friends who suffered from a stroke. It's heartbreaking. Thank you for sharing. Very true to the soul. Love Chantelle

Yes, a tragedy for. someone not ancient. But loved cooking, playing board games and big. Packers Fan. Strokes can be milt or vicious. This one! I did not even recognize her, we all bop about, not appreciating…the same could happen to us . That was the point.I wrote other poetry today, but this one, I hope makes us grateful. For still being able to function. Bless you.the Lord keep you, my friend. Pangie xo
