What If They Say No

The silliest neighbors are getting on my nerves. Always wanting to borrow a car or a snow blower. Asking for money, and I wish I was kidding. My dad said I should start asking them first. Maybe he has a point. But what if they say “no” What if they stop speaking to me? What if we stop being friends? How will I get my stove and my husband back?

You're in a real pickle there; I think you should "start asking them first".

LOVE that last line! ;D People like that drive me crazy. It's one thing to genuinely be down-on-your-luck... But the ones that irritate me are people who have money and just do crazy, reckless stuff (like driving their car on "E", then acting like it was a totally unpredictable emergency when they ran out-of-gas & got stranded somewhere). Sheesh.
