What If

What if nature suddenly just stopped? If it stalled in Winter time all would soon come to an end as plant life and animals disappeared we would end up in a barren land. In Spring a little better The lands would flourish yet plants remain tiny needing the summer sun to thrive and grow. Summer a disaster No young foliage to grow on. The greenery stagnant with no new growth. Autumn the time of plenty Without the summer crops the trees and fields are barren no wheat waving in the breeze just a landscape of emptiness. And so life ends

A beautiful poem. Shows how much the cycles of nature are all interdependent. Due to health problems I haven't been on the soup a lot. Nice to read you again. SuZ
