What If

Listen to poem:
What If What if you do not make it till tomorrow? What if this night is the longest? What if your dreams are cut short? What if there is no path through your gloom, What if your paths are laced with thorns? What if there is no friend to cheer you on, What if your foes are many, and What if you are left alone? Abandoned by kith and kin, To walk the dreary path untrodden, What if no one cares about your pain? And the day bids its final farewell, Amidst this toil and turmoil The succourers become your foe, Left alone unsought and unsung, With no prints on the Vanity Fair Wane by age and worn through time, Are you there? Been here longer than you, But this be the words on my lips and in my heart, May I be with His righteousness clothed For I have none in me, Remembering the covenant of His eternal Blood My last plea before I go.
