What If
They told her: All she
Could accomplish
She can only gain
On her back.
What if she had
Been told that
She was more
Than just the glow
Of her skin or
The flowers growing
In her hair?
What if she was
Told that she
Could actually
Use her mind?
That her mind
Is a city of Emerald
That had to
Be explored
What if her
Back was still
Too small?
A thin strip of wood
That broke into
A million pieces when it
Touched the floor.
